Dear AIESEC International 15.16 Candidate,

 

Being part of the global team of the world's largest youth led organization is a privilege and a huge responsibility someone could have. It is for sure an experience in which one learns how a global office works, how to handle multiple stakeholders and how to be in an extremely diverse team.

 

I still remember myself two years ago having many questions inside my head if I should apply to AI or not, how aligned would the experience be with my future steps and if I could support the organization going one step further. Answering those questions was possible after talking to many people and hearing different perspectives about myself, others and the organization. And after this was done, the entire selection process was an amazing inner and outer journey I went through and I discovered even more things about myself during it.

 

When I think about the AI1516 reality, I feel really inspired by the transformation the organization will go through. It is the year in which AIESEC will deliver its promise of 2015 and get even more audacious setting the new direction for our next 5 years. This is for sure a unique generation that will have a huge impact on what and how we do things. In the next term lies the possibilities of making our organization reach more young people around the world, evolve the way we deliver experiences, make sure that our Leadership Development Model is the core for our decision making, and that AIESEC still continues to be AIESEC.

 

And why do I say so?

 

Because this organization really means a lot for me. I joined AIESEC in 2008 and in more than 6 years I can say that it has changed me. The Vinicius who writes this letter as PAI is a young person who is not afraid of dreaming big, sharing his opinion, empowering people to achieve a bigger purpose. I have had huge learning points in every single one of the experiences I have had and my main wish is that you take care of AIESEC that is a to me.

 

I wish every single one of you an amazing selection process, that you enjoy every single moment of it, and more importantly that you really take it as a learning experience. Because it will definitely change your life!
